Creating your own website is a crucial moment for your business. Before, people were using WordPress with its plethora of tools. WP had and still has a major issue, however – to make an exquisite website you’ll have to connect different third-party plug-ins into it.

However, recent website and funnel builders have been creating a space where you could create an online presence for your business from A to Z with a single thorough platform. Dropfunnels and Leadpages are two such platforms, and they are amongst the most used in this group.
But, factually, which one of them is better and why?
What is Dropfunnels?
DF isn’t just a funnel builder. It helps you very effectively convert your leads into buyers, but that’s not all.
Funnels are awesome, but you can’t create the website of your dreams from them alone. You also need pages, not to mention blog-posts, and you’ll also have to tie all these elements together to create a comfortable user experience that will also bring you money.

Dropfunnels does all that with much success, but it also offers you an innovative solution.
See, there are two major traffic sources, at least in this context:
- Traffic that comes from your ads directly into your funnels.
- Traffic that accumulates organically and passively from search results.
Most funnel builders only give you the first opportunity, but Dropfunnels gives you both. You can create your online presence, and the pages you make with Dropfunnels can be boosted to be very SEO-friendly. This feature makes sure that people who look for a product like yours will find you in high up in the search results.

Additionally, there are blogs. A blog is a very powerful traffic source, because people search for solutions to their problems, for top-10 lists of the best products, and so on. You can write anything about your product, publish it and see it accumulate organic traffic right on Dropfunnels.

If you were to write about the product that one of your funnels leads to, and you didn’t create that funnel with Dropfunnels, you’ll have to go to WordPress, create a blog and then put links to your actual funnels all over the blog-posts. Now, you can just put a big ‘buy’ button right at the bottom of the post, for instance.

Leadpages is another innovative funnel builder that actually does more than just build funnels. Leadpages specializes heavily on funnels and the follow-up experience around them.
You can also create your ‘site’, which means pages and the body where you could place your funnels. And there is no blog feature, sadly. But the way Leadpages approaches funnel-building is very interesting. It doesn’t really resemble your average funnel builder, but it certainly is one.

Because of that, and an extremely simple interface, Leadpages is great for beginners. But back to the way LP treats funnels. Now, there are two main elements that this platform works with:
- Lead pages – they are given a very prominent place here.
- Widgets.
- Pop-ups.
Lead pages are obviously very important, it’s the place where you collect traffic and send it along to the next steps of the funnel. And how you do it is through widgets. These widgets can be anything, but most have something that you can click. And that clickable space is connected to another page with other widgets.

And pop-ups are worth mentioning as well. When you click on a widget, you can (depending on whether a creator put it there) be given a pop-up. And these can contain anything: e-mail forms, images, or buttons. It means that, if a user somehow got past your landing page, you can still ask them for their info or tell them about your product.
That’s pretty much how all funnels on Leadpages work. It’s very simple, and such simplicity can’t be underappreciated. Creating your online presence shouldn’t be a quest.

From what was said above, it may seem that these two platforms aren’t inherently different. They both help create an effective online presence through their own means, but generally, they aren’t too different. But it’s not exactly right.
The key difference is the ability to organically grow your business with Dropfunnels, but there’s a bit more to both of them that that.
Organic traffic is, of course, the main difference. Let’s discuss it a bit further.

As mentioned, you are very versatile on Dropfunnels. You can collect traffic manually through paid ads or passively through mechanisms of search engine optimization. While you can optimize your pages on Leadpages and hope for organic growth, they don’t give you any tools for it.
However, you can very easily start a Facebook or an Instagram ad campaign on Leadpages – all you need to do is go to your site structure, choose one of the pages (it’s better to choose a landing page, for obvious reasons), hit the button and customize the ad.
Dropfunnels also has more tools for site-creation. And even in terms of info managing, neither of these platforms has an in-built autoresponder service. You’d think Leadpages would give you something of the sort since they emphasize their follow-up experience heavily, but no.
LP has less to offer, that’s true. However, they somewhat compensate the lack of building tools with their outstanding simplicity – even a child could set-up a website with their interface.
In essence: Leadpages is more about ad campaigns, and Dropfunnels is about both – paid plus organic traffic.
DropFunnels advantages
There are several very important features that’ll make your experience with Dropfunnels superior to that of Leadpages.
- Unlimited hosting
While Leadpages also gives you a fair share of free hosting, it’s not unlimited, which is a
key distinction. On Dropfunnels, you can rely on the platform to give you limitless
hosting. This, in turn, means you can create virtually as many pages as you want. And
that also means unlimited pages, unlimited funnels, and large potential for optimization. - Fast loading speed
This is another major advantage that Dropfunnels can give you. The company makes sure your pages always load incredibly fast. In turn, it means your users won’t wait too long for the page to appear. And that, in turn, means you’ll be ranked higher by Google (the pages with better performance rank higher). It will also matter if you don’t even need the search results because if your funnels load slowly, the potential visitors can simply decide to leave without even seeing your product. The speed is seriously faster than on any other platform, including Leadpages. You can even try it and see for yourself. - All tools in one basket
Dropfunnels pride themselves on their extensive toolbox for page-building, funnel- building, search-optimizing and mail-managing. Leadpages also has some of these instruments, but the majority must be integrated. The only thing you’ll have to integrate on DF is the autoresponder service. On Leadpage, however, a lot of plug-ins need to be installed. Understand this: you’ll have to pay for some of them, while Dropfunnels doesn’t charge you extra for all the instruments and plug-ins the platform supplants.
LeadPages advantages
Leadpages isn’t necessarily worse than Dropfunnels, at least not in a theoretical way. The use of one platform of the other can change depending on the situation. And Leadpages has a few key benefits that DF doesn’t.
- Unlimited traffic The problem with Dropfunnels is that, although you get no limit on many things, you’ll only get a limited amount of leads. You will get a decent amount of possible leads, but even the costliest deal will only give you 250.000 leads a month. Leadpages, on another hand, grant you an unlimited supply of traffic even for a minimal fee.
- Better support Because Leadpages is already an established platform (having been on market for 10 years), it also has an established client service and a handful of highly qualified agents. Dropfunnels has good support, but not as good as on Leadpages, frankly. Additionally, you are more likely to find informative material about Leadpages than about Dropfunnels on the Internet, because the former was around for much longer. The latter was launched in early 2020, which means it is relatively new and unexplored. It’s not exactly the platform’s fault, but you can’t deny that having more potential for understanding how the platform works is definitely an advantage.
Dropfunnels pricing
Pricing is also worth taking into account because all the bonuses aren’t worth it if the price is comparatively very high. It works the other way too – if the price isn’t too high and the features are great, it’s worth every dime.
Here, and also on the picture below, you can see a full collection of Dropfunnels plans and their prices. As you can see, different plans give the same limitless amount of pages, funnels, hosting and other features. The only real change is the number of leads. On the lowest plan, you’ll get a modest amount – ripe for a starting business.

The other two will give you 250.000 leads per month. In comparison to the 10.000 on the first plan, it’s a big change. The Pro plan doesn’t give you any additional leads, just more domains, and the ability to unite them all under one login.
It’s worth noting, however, that a lot of other platforms are much costlier than Dropfunnels, this builder is much more affordable without losing any functional potential.
LeadPages pricing
Despite the lack of tools for virtually every aspect of business-creating, Leadpages is a great platform, because even next to an incredibly affordable Dropfunnels, this platform is even cheaper.

Take a look at this pricing chart, for instance. It’s true that, by the looks of it, the cheapest plan can give you just 1 site, albeit with free hosting and unlimited leads. But it’s safe to say that the Standard plan on Leadpages is amongst the cheapest on the market.
This is a chief, although hidden value on this platform. The other two plans cost a bit more – the Advanced plan (the costliest one) gives you an opportunity to create 50 sites across the Web for all your possible businesses. It’s a decent opportunity.
Dropfunnels vs Leadpages: pricing conclusions
The chief takeaway here is that Dropfunnels and Leadpages are the cheapest funnel-building software probably ever conceived. The choice is really what you want to do with your software. Dropfunnels gives a lot more, both in terms of tools and features and in terms of hosting, speed and stability.
If you don’t want to spend your money at all, you can buy the cheapest possible plan on Leadpages and create a website with all the necessities but nothing more. In this instance, however, spending is long-term, and you’re highly advised to give a bit more to receive a lot more on Dropfunnels.
At the end of the day, you can simply sign up for the trial periods on both platforms and see which one suits you better. They both last for 14 days and cost nothing. It’s enough to make up your mind and get acquainted with the platforms.
The summary
While Leadpages in many ways is just an advanced funnel builder – the pages that you can build with the help from this platform don’t have nearly as much potential for optimization and content creation. Dropfunnels is a very good funnel builder, but it also helps you create great and fully optimized pages, as well as blog-posts and a lot more.
But again, you need to see for yourself. Try those 14-days trials on both websites and judge them on your own.
